Where the date comes from

A warning is only as good as the date behind it, so it is worth knowing how that date gets into the app.

From the screenshot

Trial information often sits in the same view as the subscription itself. The App Store subscriptions screen shows when a free period ends. A confirmation e-mail usually states the date in the first paragraph. If that text is in the image you upload, it is read along with the price.

From you

When the date is not in the image, nothing is invented. The entry sits in your list without one, and the app asks you to add it — that is the moment to check the provider's own account page, where the renewal date is always shown.

Before the money moves

The warning goes out ahead of the conversion, by e-mail and by push, so there is still a window in which cancelling costs nothing. After the charge the only route is the provider's refund policy, which is theirs and not NoBill's.

What does not happen

  • Cancel subscriptions for you — you cancel yourself, with instructions

The decision and the clicks stay with you. What arrives is the warning and the route.
